How the TPAC Works
Government has tremendous influence on Thrivent’s ability to server our members. Decisions made every day by elected officials impact this organization’s products and community programs, and ultimately, our employee’s and field professional’s livelihoods.
The Thrivent Political Action Committee (TPAC) gives employees and field professionals a voice in the political process. It enables us to support candidates – regardless of party – who understand Thrivent’s unique mission, and who are concerned about the way government decisions impact our ability to serve our members and their communities.
Few organizations are as committed as we are to the ensuing that employees and field professionals can support the organization’s public policy goals – without sacrificing their personal political beliefs. The feature that allows employees and field professionals to designate a party preference was created to ensure that. Thrivent cannot afford to be perceived as partisan by either employees, field professionals or elected officials. We need supporters on both sides of the aisle, and your personal involvement with the TPAC program can help make that happen.
The TPAC supports candidates almost exclusively at the federal level. Employees and field professionals contribute to the TPAC via payroll deduction, and then the TPAC makes a contribution to candidates.
The Thrivent Wisconsin PAC
In addition to the TPAC, Thrivent makes available the Thrivent Wisconsin PAC. The Thrivent Wisconsin PAC supports candidates at the state level in Wisconsin. Employees and field professionals contribute to the Thrivent Wisconsin PAC via payroll deduction, and then the Thrivent Wisconsin PAC makes a contribution to candidates.
